The Research Master Philosophy provides students with the necessary research skills to pursue an academic career. The students will acquire a thorough knowledge of the philosophical tradition. At the same time students will be get to know a variety of contemporary philosophical discussions.

In the BA phase of the Philosophy study in Amsterdam, students have already been offered a broad overview of the different aspects and areas of philosophy, and been enabled to deepen their insights in two advanced philosophy courses.

The Research Master is a solid two-year program that offers considerable room for developing one’s own research interests, and fully enables the students to specialize themselves in those areas of philosophy that fascinate them most.
