The aim of the course Advanced Neuroscience is to deepen the basic knowledge of the students in several important basic topics in Neuroscience related to cognition.
Prepare students for research in the field of neuroscience.
Inhoud
The aim of this course is to deepen the fundamental knowledge in Neuroscience in a broad way.
Each week of the course will be devoted to a new aspect of Neuroscience. In general the topics are introduced, than students are given a specific set of recent literature to be studied and discussed in groups. A guest speaker who is specialist in the particular field will present a lecture on the topic, followed by a discussion with the students. This discussion consists of a deeper discussion on the background of the topic and on the direction in which this field is moving. Students are expected to resolve deficiencies in their actual knowledge in the study days and they have to prepare a short report on every topic.
Aanmelden
This course is obligatory for all students in the track Neuroscience. Other students will be allowed if the course isn't full and they have sufficient basic knowledge in Neurobiology.
