Students who apply for the  Master's in European Communication Studies, but have prior training in disciplines other than (European) Communication Studies and lack sufficient knowledge of Communication Studies and/or research methodology may gain entry to the Master's programme by completing a special preparatory programme.

Preparatory Programme I:
Students who lack sufficient knowledge in Communication Studies and/or research methodology will be required to complete a preparatory programme of 30 EC before gaining entry to the Master's programme. This preparatory programme will take place in the semester before the start of the Master's programme.
Preparatory Programme II:
Students who have a deficiency in research methodology will be required to complete the Crash-course Introduction to Research Methodology (August) (10 EC) before gaining entry in the Master's programme. This crash-course will be organised in August 2007.
